MiniTavern on Google Play — Silly Tavern–style RP on Android

If you are searching for MiniTavern Android, Silly Tavern on Android, or a tavern-style app on the phone, you usually want: import SillyTavern character cards, connect models, and start chatting without a science project. The Google Play release is the current production install path: MiniTavern on Google Play. See also the English tutorial for in-app flow.
In the Play Store app, searching MiniTavern often shows this app first in the results (ordering can vary by account, region, and experiments). The screenshot below is one real example:

The older GitHub / APK distribution described in some posts maps to minitavern/MiniTavern_Android, which is now in a low‑maintenance / not actively updated for installs phase. Use Google Play as the supported channel for install and updates—do not rely on legacy release pages as the primary path.
Not the same as “run stock Silly Tavern on the phone”
A common Android path is Termux → Node → git clone the official UI, then open it in a browser. That is valid for tinkerers who accept command-line setup, background limits, and local ports. If your priority is cards + RP first, use MiniTavern; for a fair comparison to the Termux stack (and what full Silly Tavern on-device entails), use the blog’s companion write-up (it already walks the trade-offs and CLI-heavy route):
